Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. It is now a global movement powered by people who believe generosity is critical to our communities and our future.
Giving Tuesday, which falls on Tuesday, December 2nd this year, is a day that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give and collaborate. It is a day dedicated to making connections and building a stronger, more generous movement of everyday givers. This starts with one simple act, one kind gesture, or one donation.
This year, both of our Network Members: Able2 and Capabilities, Inc. are participating in Giving Tuesday and there are several ways to GIVE.
Able2 is celebrating their 75th Anniversary this year. With your continued support, they look forward to the successes of the next 75 years and beyond, with the mission of enhancing the quality of life of those they serve. Donations made on Giving Tuesday will go towards continuing their work of ensuring people with disabilities develop their talents, reach their goals, and become strong contributors to their communities.

Capabilities, Inc. has been operating as a not-for-profit organization in Chemung County since 1956. Their mission has essentially been the same since the doors first opened: To assist persons with employment barriers to obtain their optimum vocational goals.
