Capabilities, Inc. Hires New Chief Operating Officer

Capabilities Inc., a member of the Alliance for Empowerment Network, welcomes Michael Murphy as Chief Operating Officer.

Michael Murphy is a distinguished leader in the field of human services, workforce development, and organizational management. With more than twenty
years of progressively responsible experience, Mr. Murphy has demonstrated sustained excellence in guiding complex program portfolios requiring significant regulatory oversight. He is recognized for developing and implementing culturally responsive service models that strengthen
economic mobility, promote community inclusion, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
His background includes extensive work within publicly funded systems,
including programs aligned with The New York State Office for People with
Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the New York State Office of Mental
Health (OMH), providing an understanding of regulatory expectations, service
standards, and long-term planning across these critical state-funded
frameworks.
Capabilities is recognized as a leader in community-based employment services
for several unique populations. Mr. Murphy will bring to Capabilities Inc. a
breadth of expertise including comprehensive financial oversight, compliance
management, policy alignment, and the establishment of scalable service
provision and administrative infrastructure.
